Not many people know, that not so long time ago towers and radiotowers were built not only from steal, but they were made also from wood. Such wodden radio tower remained in Poland near Gliwice. This tower have two world records: it’s the only one left radio tower on earth and it’s the highest wooden construction in the world.
The tower was completed in 1935 and were used by Nazis, becouse Gliwice were than Prussian province and belongs to Germany. It is an 118-metre high (including the 8 metre long spire on its top) construction of impregnated larch wood framework.
